BIRIS II is the 2nd generation of modular active infrared products. It is made of stand alone products from 20 to 40 cm height to simplify the installation. |

Moreover, the cells alignment is simplified by the photo-electric cells orientation adjustable with precise swivels (+/- 90° horizontally and +/- 10° vertically) |

A state-of-the-art technology

With this new generation of dual- and quad-beams products, SORHEA wanted to improve it with the new functions : |
|
 |
Configurable AND/OR functions : On modular products you usually need to cut 2 beams at the same time to trigger an alarm. The AND/OR function, integrated in the Biris II, allow the triggering of the alarm on the cutting of one OR two beams, or on the cutting of one AND two beams. This can match every sites requirements. |

Interconnection of modules : When you stack standard stand-alone products you need to cut the two lowest beams of the two highest beams to trigger an alarm. When the intruder only cuts the 2nd and 3rd beams no alarm is triggered. The interconnection of modules allow a permanent communication between the modules. That is why, when an intruder cross the barrier and cut only two beams he will be detected. This allow a better power of detection (P.O.D.). |

Integrated alignment interface : From the smallest product, Uniris II, a buzzer and LEDs have been integrated to check the signal level received by the receiver. They guaranty an optimal optic alignment. The best precise the alignment is, the more accurate the power of detection is. This will also reduce the risks of false alarms. |

Alignment software : The power of the signal is sent and received by the receiver. The alignment is simplified thanks to the powerful buzzer whose audio level varies in conjunction with the incoming signal. The buzzer is located in the receiver control board. From 1 to 100m range, the receiver and transmitter beams can be align with the buzzer, which audi level remains audible. Up to 200m range, the sounds is not audible any more. SORHEA has decided to integrate in the BIRIS II 200m the patented D.I.S. 100 Hz cells. These cells have already been implemented in the Coliris II infrared tower. These specific cells offer the dual-funtion of transmitter and receiver. The information concerning the level of the signal is available on both sides of the barrier. Each side integrates a buzzer and LEDs that allow a single person to align the cells with extrem precision without having to use external apparatus. |

Configurable selectable channels : When several infrared barriers are installed close to each other without selectable channels option, it could create a risk of interference among them. This infrared barrier will not be able to make the difference between the different sending and incoming signal.The selectable channels allow installation of several barriers while preventing a risk of interference among them.. |
